Benefits of our Poly Furniture

Benefits of our Poly Furniture

Durable

It’s dense, durable and watertight.  Poly lumber will not absorb moisture, solving all the problems other furniture materials face outdoors.  No cracking, splitting, mold nor mildew.  It will not rot, corrode, splinter or decay.  Leave it out all year, harsh winters are nothing to worry about.

Does Not Retain Heat

Poly material is dense and non-fibrous, so leaving your seats in the sun won’t make them unbearable to sit on in shorts.  Metal can burn, and some decking materials get so hot that even walking across them in the sun can be a painful challenge.

Fade-Resistant

It’s colorfast.  Poly lumber is manufactured with UV inhibitors to ensure that the color is consistently fade-resistant throughout.

Insect-Proof

Mold/Mildew Resistant

Creating a Greener World

It’s insect-proof.  Wood is susceptible to borers and other insects that feast on its fibers, which quickly develop weak spots.  Poly lumber is impenetrable to insects.  The worst you would have to do is have a flyswatter handy during blackfly season.

It’s mold and mildew resistant. Wood furniture, when left out in damp conditions, makes a nice buffet for molds which thrive in those environments.  Mold remediation can be time-consuming and expensive.  Thwart those nuisances with Poly outdoor furniture.

It’s helping the world go GREEN!  HDPE is mostly made from recycled post-consumer plastics, i.e. milk jugs, detergent bottles, water bottles, etc.  Keeping that stuff out of the landfills not only helps cut down on pollution, it allows for less chemicals leaching into our precious groundwater.  Believe it or not, it also helps reduce fossil fuel consumption and air pollution—lots of plastic gets condensed into furniture making transport less necessary.  Need another reason?  The furniture itself is 100% recyclable!
